1. What is the maximum temperature that your material can withstand. For example, if the maximum temperature resistance of your material cannot exceed 130 ℃, you have to choose a hot-melt adhesive with a melting point lower than 130 ℃, because if the processing temperature cannot reach the melting point of the adhesive, the adhesive does not melt, and the adhesive force is almost zero;
2. Do you need to consider the softness of the product after gluing? Do you need to consider the application in high or low temperature? Do you need to go through water washing? Do you need to dry clean? Do you need to continue tensile resistance? If there are the above requirements, you need to choose the adhesive film with the above corresponding performance.
3. What's the material you need to bond? Different hot-melt adhesives have different bonding fastness to different materials. No adhesive can bond more to all materials than all other adhesives. For example, polyurethane has a very strong fastness to textile fabrics, while the bonding strength to PE plastics is almost zero;
4. If there are many kinds of adhesives to choose, choose the one with the most cost-effective; in the case of meeting your bonding requirements, choose the thinnest adhesive (the thinner the adhesive, the cheaper the price).
How to use hot melt adhesive film
1. Clothing industry:
According to the size requirements of the required adhesive cloth, users first cut the hot-melt adhesive film into corresponding width, use high-temperature pressing hot-melt adhesive film on the cloth surface to fit, remove the release paper of the adhesive film after drying, and press and press again according to the requirements of the process, which is called hot-melt seamless bonding;
Note: clothing is bonded with hot melt adhesive film, and many suitable fabrics are also very miscellaneous. Due to the complexity of its process requirements, users need to conduct proofing test before mass production when applicable.
2. Leather bags industry:
According to the materials used for leather case or bag, the user adheres the hot-melt adhesive film to the surface of the material through the high-temperature composite equipment, then cuts or cuts according to the requirements of the process, removes the release paper of the adhesive film after curing, and presses it to the surface of the bonded material through high-temperature pressing;
Note: there are various materials for leather case or bag. When applying hot-melt adhesive film, please select the adhesive film with corresponding melting point according to the temperature resistance and folding resistance of the material used; and conduct the test according to the process requirements before mass production.
3. Sports shoes industry:
The user presses the hot-melt adhesive film to the surface of the material according to the materials (belonging to leather or cloth) used in the model shoes through the high-temperature composite equipment, and then cuts or electrocarves each part customized according to the sample plate after drying, and removes the release paper of the adhesive film, and then burns to the surface of the mesh or other cloth through the high-temperature and high-pressure; this method is called seamless bonding upper;
Note: this seamless bonding process is suitable for all non sewing sports shoes, but for different materials and different process requirements, users need to select the corresponding hot-melt adhesive film according to the requirements, and use it in batches after testing.
